The new slowest coffee drive thru in des moines. Second time this has happened in less than two weeks. My sandwich was cold when I finally got it and my chai didn't taste like chai. Well it was severely watered down. We need more local coffee shops in West Des Moines.

I actually kinda like this Starbucks. Price: Starbucks price... like $2.50 for a hot tea? Parking: Ok sized lot, shared with other stores in the plaza Service: Not too shabby. They're speedy as all starbucks should be. Food & Drinks: I think starbucks coffees taste good only if they're freshly brewed. For hot teas, I like their cinnamon rooibos (I need to learn how to pronounce this) and for their iced tea, I go for the passion. Notes: It's a pretty small starbucks, but I'm usually lucky enough to find a seat. Their drive thru is always busy. Gluten-free-ers: Stay away from their pastries! Overall: I would come again if I'm in the area. This part of WDM only has a starbucks and caribou in terms of coffee shops. No mom & pop ones.

We came to this Starbucks and took advantage of their drive-thru. Service was fast and friendly. I am still bitter about the extra charge of $0.60 for soy despite my gold membership. I hate their new program!! Anything to nickel and dime us, as if paying $5 for a cup of coffee isn't enough of a profit! If I wasn't so desperate for coffee at that moment I would have gone to McD's. Oh well. Coffee here tasted great nonetheless!

In a word this Starbucks is: SLOW. I recently stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up of coffee and there was an inside line of four or five people. The line serpentined around displays of Christmas Starbucks offerings. The drive-thru seemed to get more attention than the inside customers. It sucked. It took fifteen minutes to simply order a small coffee. Which even that went wrong. There's a size called a "short" its eight ounces, I got a small.

I have been to this starbucks a few times and everytime I am in, the service is poor. Usually I get chocolate sprinkles on my frapuccino and i once ordered a drink through drive through and forgot to ask for sprinkles and parked and went inside to ask for sprinkles and the cashier was very rude and told me it cost extra but i had left my wallet in the car and she had rudely told me she would wait to put the sprinkles on. I have never been charged extra for these and even another worker from a different store had said it did not cost extra.

No matter where I am, I can always rely on Starbucks to be consistent with beverages and their other servicings. When I'm home in the SF bay area, I normally do not go to Starbucks because there are so many better coffee options around here. However, when I'm traveling, I like to explore local coffee options. If none exists, Starbucks can be trusted to have great helpful baristas and serve delicious cups of coffee. This Starbucks was so much better than the Friedrich's coffee at the Des Moines airport. Night and day difference. Great steel cut oatmeal too!

I was disappointed on my service today. It was raining and the drive thru got busy as usual.. The girl was rude because she said she couldn't hear me, then she never asked me if I wanted anything else. She just gave me my total. I just hoped she didn't spit in my drink after that rudeness tone of hers! Never going back again. Been here few times and every time I say the same thing. Always disappointed... Worst drive thru experience I ever had at any Starbucks!
